Compliance Statement RoHS Restricted Substances (6 + 4)
Directives 2002/95/EC, 2011 011/65/EU and 2015/863/EU Annex II
The EU Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directives specify maximum levels by
weight for the following 10 restricted substances. The first six applied to the original RoHS
Directives 2002/95/EC – 2011/65/EU, while the last four were added under Directive
2015/863/EU, often referred to as RoHS3.
None of the original six RoHS restricted substances, nor any of the four additional restricted
substances (phthalates) are contained above the threshold level in the alloys that Elgiloy
processes.
Cadmium (Cd): <100 ppm (0.01%). CAS Number = 7440-43-9.
Lead (Pb): <1000 ppm (0.1%). CAS Number = 7439-92-1
Mercury (Hg): <1000 ppm (0.1%). CAS Number = 7439-97-6.
Hexavalent chromium (Cr VI): <1000 (0.1%). CAS Number = 18540-29-9.
Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB): <1000 ppm (0.1%)
Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE): <1000 ppm (0.1%).
Bis(2-Ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP): <1000 ppm 0.1% (added in 2015).
Benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP): <1000 ppm (0.1%) (added in 2015).
Dibutyl phthalate (DBP): <1000 (0.1%) (added in 2015).
Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP): <1000 ppm (0.1%) (added in 2015).
