To Whom It May Concern:
“Melted and manufactured in the USA” is a common requirement in a variety of U.S. legislation. This is not
to say that Cleveland-Cliffs Steel LLC and Cleveland-Cliffs Steel Corporation (collectively, “Cleveland-Cliffs
Steel”) conform to all the requirements of the legislation listed in the subject line.
If it is imperative that material produced against your purchase order is melted and manufactured in the
USA, that should be noted on your purchase order to us. Cleveland-Cliffs Steel will certify its flat rolled
steel as “Melted and manufactured in the USA” when Cleveland-Cliffs Steel issues a test certificate or bill
of lading to accompany the product that states that the product is “Melted and manufactured in the USA”.
