Contaminated or Radioactive Material Statement
Stainless steel strip products purchased by Brown Metals Company are melted and rolled in
the United States by our mills in order to meet DFARS section 252.225-7008 and section
252.225-7009. (Preference for Domestic Specialty Metals). These products are RoHS
(Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization
and restriction of Chemicals) compliant. Each of the melt mills providing materials to us have
a radioactive material screening process in place to ensure radioactivity levels do not exceed
